Al jaren hebben we een mooie samenwerking met de Australische Birthkit Foundation. Een aantal keer per jaar verschepen ze vanuit Australië een voorraad birthkits. Daarmee zorgen we ervoor dat zwangere vrouwen in Oeganda toegang krijgen tot zorg tijdens en na de bevalling.  De komende tijd willen we ons gaan richten op het samenstellen van birthkits in Oeganda zelf.  Door in Oeganda zelf de pakketten samen te stellen worden kosten bespaard, wordt de lokale economie gestimuleerd, kunnen we sneller en adequater reageren en kunnen we pakketten maken die lokale, verantwoorde producten bevatten.

For years now,  we have had a great collaboration with the Australian Birthkit Foundation. They ship a stock of birth kits from Australia a few times a year. With this we can ensure that pregnant women in Uganda have access to care during and after childbirth. In the near future, we want to focus on compiling birth kits in Uganda itself. Putting together the packages ourselves in Uganda saves costs, stimulates the local economy, allows us to respond faster and more adequately and we can make packages that contain local, adequate products.
