Vorige week hebben we aan een klein groepje zwangere vrouwen weer birthkits kunnen overhandigen vanuit het health center in Kiyunga.   We hopen dit soort activiteiten weer langzaam op te kunnen starten.  Ook In het dorpje Bubago hebben we een groep zwangere vrouwen kunnen voorzien van birthkits van KIT International uit Australie. Met deze birthkit stimuleren we een hygiënische thuisbevalling. En bovendien krijgen vrouwen daardoor makkelijker toegang tot zorg als zij toch naar het ziekenhuis moeten.

Last week we were able to hand over birth kits to a small group of pregnant women from the health center in Kiyunga.  We hope to restart these types of activities again slowly. In the village of Bubago we were able to provide a group of pregnant women with birth kits from KIT International from Australia as well. With this birth kit we stimulate hygienic birthgiving at home. What’s more, it will be easier for women to receive care in case they do need to go to hospital.
