De Covid-19 maatregelen in Oeganda hebben invloed op ons watertank project. We waren toe aan een nieuwe fase in het project: workshops voor de docenten van de scholen met het oog op school groentetuinen. En dat zou hand in hand gaan met de aanleg van groentetuinen.

Nu de scholen opnieuw dicht zijn, is het niet handig om de tuinen aan te gaan leggen. Maar we willen wel graag door en hebben in ieder geval een oplossing gevonden voor de workshops: in plaats van workshops waaraan iedereen tegelijk deelneemt organiseren we de komende tijd workshops voor kleine groepjes docenten. Ook al gaat het langzamer, we zetten toch stappen vooruit.

Gisteren namen docenten van de volgende scholen deel aan de workshop: St Paul primary school, Kituba muslim primary school, Hope Wills primary school en Bulamuka primary school.

The Covid-19 measures in Uganda affect our water tank project. We were ready for a new phase in the project: workshops for the teachers and regarding school vegetable gardens. And this would go hand in hand with the set up of vegetable gardens.

Now that the schools are closed again, it is not the right time to start setting up the school gardens. But we would like to continue and have found a solution for the workshops: instead of conducting workshops in which everyone participates at the same time, we will be organizing workshops for small groups of teachers in the days to come. Even if things are slowing down, we are still making progress.

Yesterday teachers from the following schools participated in the workshop: St Paul primary school, Kituba muslim primary school, Hope Wills primary school and Bulamuka primary school.
